Middle School Golf and Volleyball

Golf

Yesterday's match against Linton Hall was played at Shenandoah Valley Golf Course. The R-MA team was excited to play in its first match of the year. Linton Hall brought seven young golfers who were equally ready for the match. After following after the little white ball for nine holes over wet grounds, the final tally saw R-MA barely overcoming their opponents by three strokes 231-234. Leading the way for the young Jackets was Jacob Karen who shot a nice 48, Noah Thirkill who contributed a personal best round of 57, and Ian Mounts and Michael Sumner contributing with a pair of 63s.

The Yellow Jacket golf team plays next Thursday, October 2, at SVGC at 4:00pm in a rescheduled match that was postponed last week. Parents, guests, and fans are encouraged to come out and support the young Jackets.

Volleyball

Princess Uzoma scored 10 pts followed by Arielle Alexis 9 pts.  Game 3 saw all the girls playing and won (26-24) and with the win the young lady jackets improve to 3-3 on the year.  The girls will play next at home on Monday Sept 29 at 4:30 p.m.
