Boomer's Run
Boomer’s Run was developed in honor of General Walter Boomer, R-MA class of 1956, who went on to become a 4 Star General and Assistant Commandant of the United States Marine Corps.
The event is designed to foster teamwork, communication, unit cohesion and identity, and allows Cadet leadership an opportunity to lead, guide and direct their people as they face obstacles and challenges in a competitive event. The event is a race and has eight different challenges forcing Cadet Leaders to quickly and efficiently organize, motivate and direct their people based on their individual strengths – some challenges are physical, some are mental and some are both.
A clear objective is to teach students that EVERYONE has something valuable to offer the team.
