Last week the Virginia 91st Air Force JROTC corps of cadets at Randolph-Macon Academy was given the “Distinguished Unit Award.” This award is presented to AFJROTC units that meet the criteria of the AFJROTC which includes:
• the personal growth and development of cadets
• the contribution of the unit’s JROTC instructors as mentors
• the support of the school/local community
• the unit’s evaluation meets the AFJROTC standards
• an average of 12 hours of community service per cadet
Congratulations to the Randolph-Macon Academy corps of cadets, its JROTC instructors, its faculty, and its staff.
