Middle School Soccer VS Mountain View Christian Academy

The Jackets continued their strong start to the season with a 7-0 victory over a spirited MVCA side. Sidique Thomas-Sualley opened the scoring in the first half, followed by a goal from JJ Banek-Gabelle, after a strong offensive opening period. Manny Uzoma came onto the field midway through the first half and made an immediate impact at striker, adding 2 more well-taken goals to give R-MA a 4-0 lead at halftime.

The entire squad was rotated for the second half with every player stepping up to keep the pace of the game as intense as the first half. Diego Leiva returned to the center of the midfield after a strong first half performance, adding 2 quick goals in rapid succession, with only some strong goalkeeping denying him a hat-trick. The scoring was rounded off as 6th grade striker Joe Evertson drove into the penalty area and clinically placed his shot low and hard past the keeper. With all the players improving so rapidly, the squad is developing real depth and we look forward to our games next week.
