Middle School Boys’ Basketball Team Lose in Semi-finals of VMSC

On Wednesday, the R-MA Yellow Jacket Middle School Boys' Basketball team traveled to Rappahannock, Virginia to play the undefeated Rappahannock Panthers in the semi-finals of the VMSC Tournament. The Panthers full court press was too much for the Jackets and at the end of the first quarter the Jackets were down 2-10. The second quarter was more productive for R-MA and at halftime the Panthers were up 21-12.

Rappahannock came out in the third quarter and scored 12 points compared to the Jacket's 4 and led 33-16. During the fourth quarter, R-MA was able to substitute the entire bench but were, unfortunately, unable to score. The final score came to 41-16. This concluded the Yellow Jacket season with an overall record of 9-5.

We would like to thank the parents, grandparents, guardians, faculty, staff, students, cheerleaders, and R-MA fans for their support during the season. The team grew in ability, skill, and maturity during the season and, equally important, they had fun.
