Middle School Boys’ Basketball Now 6-0

On Wednesday, the Middle School Boys' Basketball team went on the road to play the Riverfront Christian Rams on their home court. After tip-off there was no looking back. The young Yellow Jackets jumped off to an 18-0 lead in the first quarter and a 23-0 half time score. Everyone for R-MA was able to play in every quarter. Eight of the ten players scored during the game and the first team only played nine minutes. The second unit gained valuable playing experience and played well as a group. The Yellow Jackets distributed the scoring among eight of the ten participating players. Leading the way for the Jackets was eighth-grader Stanley Richards with 12 points. Seventh-grader Michael Sumner, eighth-graders Gil Iphael and Jacob Karen each scored 8 points, seventh-grader Jonathan Bunker threw in 5 points, eighth-grader Shawn Levitt added 4 points, and eighth-grader Griffin Loper contributed 2 points.

With this win the Jackets are 6-0 overall and 2-0 in the VMSC. On Thursday the Jackets have a home game against the Front Royal Flames. Thanks to the parents, siblings, grandparents, faculty and staff, and fans for supporting the R-MA hoopsters this year
