Yesterday was a beautiful day for golf at Shenandoah Valley Golf Course and the R-MA Middle School golf team recorded its best score of this young season. With personal bests from Jacob Karen and Ian Mounts the team was able to defeat Linton Hall by the score of 163-173. Leading the way for the young Jackets were Jacob Karen, with a personal best of 45; Ian Mounts, also with a personal best of 56; and Noah Thirkill with a nice 62. Michael Sumner, Alan Williams, and Carolyn Laourdakis rounded out the squad that participated in yesterday's match. With this victory the Jackets are now 2-0. Next Thursday, October 9, the R-MA golfers will travel to Prince William Country Club for another match against Linton Hall.
