The Lady Jackets were out in full volleyball swarm as they faced a new opponent Eurkarya. The battle was long and fierce but in the end proved to be no match as they won 25-16 in set one. Then RMA's second set proved to be even tougher when their entire first string team played, then took the second set 25-11 with Audrey N. and Cassie M. securing the victory with their serves.
Varsity Volleyball Tallies First Win
After a grueling loss to Shenandoah Valley Academy the night before, the varsity volleyball team took to the road to play Wakefield Country Day School. The first game was evenly matched until the last few moments, when the R-MA team drew away to win 25-17. The second game went much the same, with the two teams trading leads until the Yellow Jackets won 25-18. In the third game, R-MA obtained a comfortable lead and Coach Jeff Moxie was able to put in some of his players off of the bench. That daring move almost cost them the game as Wakefield rallied, but in the end, the Yellow Jackets pulled out the win, 25-23, and earned their first match win of the season.
