Exciting 2019 Season Opener for Middle School Volleyball

The middle school volleyball team officially began its season on Tuesday at home against a cross town opponent.  Chelsea Academy, who has proven to be competitive in volleyball, brought a team ready to display their talents.  First year R-MA coach David Camarillo and assistant coach Mariola Cuffe were anxious to see how their young squad would perform.

After many serves, passes and guidance from their coaches the R-MA Lady Jackets managed to secure a win in the first game.  As the team switched sides of the court, the coaches guided them on the procedure, they quickly huddled and then were ready to keep playing.  Chelsea came out strong with a good server who quickly racked up the points and left R-MA trailing 10-18 in the second game.  However, Coach Camarillo kept his team thinking positively and confidently.  When a side out came and R-MA had the serve, they answered back and climbed back into the game.  The scored remained very close, and then tied at 23.  R-MA was in the serving position and finished the game out with two serving points to win the second game and the match.

WAY TO GO LADY JACKETS!
