The varsity soccer team produced one of its best displays of the season as the team continues to progress and develop, but fell just short with a 3-2 loss away to Seton.

Lucas Costa ‘17 opened the scoring for the Jackets with a stunning overhead kick that had the Seton players and the coach congratulating him on a “goal of the season”. Seton managed to even up the scoring later in the half to head in 1-1 at the break.

This past Friday witnessed a rainfall of biblical proportions as the R-MA football team faced Fishburne Military School (FMS) in Waynesboro, Virginia.  R-MA’s performance reflected that of the weather: it was persistent, tenacious, and dominant.

The Yellow Jacket defense thoroughly handled FMS’s inverted wishbone offense and allowed them to cross the 50 yard-line just one time.  From the defensive line to the free safety, every player was flying to the ball and getting in on the action.

Yesterday the Girls’ varsity volleyball team paid a visit to Tandem Friends School in Charlottesville, Virginia, for what was nothing short of a thrilling match.

The Lady Jackets were facing an opponent with terrific fundamentals and skillful execution.  Tandem gave R-MA everything they had and kept the match neck and neck with not a single person in the crowd sitting in their seat.  “The crowd was so loud,” said Julia Norton ’17. Despite the tumultuous atmosphere in the gymnasium the Yellow Jackets won the first set.
