9/30/13  The middle school boys' cross country team hosted a Valley Middle School conference meet and had over 40 runners on the course.  Visiting boys teams were Rappahannock, Mountain View, Wakefield and St. Joes.  The R-MA boy's team is comprised of younger athletes, however, 10 members of the Yellow Jackets boys team competed and completed the challenging course.  R-MA's top runners of the day were Caleb Nielson '19, Erik Wagner '18 and Shawn Levitt '19.

9/30/13  The middle school girls' volleyball team hosted Front Royal Christian.  FRC took an early lead and won the first game.  Unfortunately, this dampened the attitudes of the Lady Jackets and R-MA was defeated in game two and lost the match 0-2.

The girls will play again on Wednesday at 430 when they host Wakefield Country Day School.

9/30/13  The varsity boys' soccer team hosted Fresta Valley Christian School in a non-conference match up.  Unfortunately, Fresta scored early and took a 1-0 lead.  The Yellow Jackets tried to fight back but couldn't get the ball past the oppenents goal keeper.  Fresta would increase the score and take a 2-0 lead at halftime.  R-MA refueled at halftime but only managed to maintain the 2-0 deficit and not minimize it.  Late in the game, Fresta would score again.  The Jackets suffered a 3-0 defeat.
