With Thanksgiving in a couple of days we decided to ask our students what they were most thankful for at R-MA. Out of all of the responses we received, the most common ones said that friends and teachers made it feel more like a family. Many students mentioned how the support provided and the sense of community was what really made R-MA feel like their second family. “I am so grateful for the teachers and other faculty members here at R-MA. Each one is so friendly and caring, always willing to sacrifice extra time to help me grow. You are a blessing.” When many of your students are living as boarders, the sense of family is incredibly important so “the community atmosphere and how each cadet supports one another” plays a big role in each student’s life at R-MA.
Since we’re a college-prep school it is nice to hear from students that they are thankful for those that teach them and prepare their way for the future. “I am thankful that the teachers/professors at R-MA are serious and teach us subjects/lessons. Thank you, R-MA.” Additionally, the school environment is made up of many aspects besides classroom teaching so the students are also grateful for such things as the flight program, the swim team, the Air Force Uniform, and the Squadron Commanders.
We are so incredibly thankful for all of our students, faculty, and staff who are responsible for creating this beautiful, diverse, second family. We sincerely hope everyone has a safe, restful Thanksgiving.
