Providing Positive Role Models for Our School Community When You Support R-MA

Now more than ever, it is important that today’s youth have access to reliable, trustworthy, and inspiring role models. Without these figures, young people are not able to reach their full potential and will often fall short on their dreams. At Randolph-Macon Academy, we are committed to honest leadership, in an effort to create strong leaders for the future.

When students have access to as many positive figures in their lives as they do at R-MA, they are exposed to lessons outside of their classrooms and textbooks. They get to explore ideas about the world and listen to others’ experiences to make their own informed opinions and gain perspective on the unknown. Continue reading to find out how your support helps R-MA maintain these positive role models for our students.

Residential Life Staff Create a Supportive Environment

At R-MA, the Residential Life Program is an extension of our academic environment. Students are always held to the same standards, whether inside or outside of the classroom, giving them an understanding of what is expected of them. As they enjoy dorm life, they will be in constant contact with caring and responsible supervisors that include R-MA alumni, ministers, social workers, and athletic coaches. Having access to these successful and experienced role models gives students the constant motivation they need to succeed.

Your support helps ensure that R-MA can continue to provide students with the type of leadership and mentorship that they are searching for in these formative years.

Faculty Mentors Keep Students in Line with Their Goals

Other faculty and staff help students stay aligned with their goals to make sure they are on track to reach success in the amount of time they have at R-MA. All students are held to the R-MA Honor Code, making it simple for them to understand what it takes to be an upstanding member of their community.

During classes and on campus, student life at R-MA is designed to instill values of accountability, teamwork, character, structure, and grit. No matter where each student comes from or what their strengths are, they will all be held accountable for becoming the best version of themselves. These values are what help our graduates maintain a 100% college acceptance rate, and allow students to thrive in the next chapter of their lives.

Support R-MA to Encourage Strong Cadet Leaders

All students at the Upper School are given the mentorship and attention they need to succeed in Air Force Junior ROTC from the beginning. Each new cadet learns Air Force customs and courtesies, how to properly wear the Air Force uniform, the rules and regulations of the Cadet Manual, basic drill movements, and how to conduct the daily military ceremonies.

When you support R-MA, you support our initiative to give students positive role models to help make great leaders out of our students

A vital part of the Air Force Junior ROTC curriculum is leadership and character development. At each level, from new cadets to our highest-ranking cadet leader, students receive focused, timely and effective schooling in leadership principles, teamwork, effective communication techniques and character traits of selflessness, service and integrity. When you support R-MA, you keep our students’ dreams alive with the proper leadership and guidance they need to get there.
