The Lady Jackets travelled to St. Joes last night and brought home another win. In the first set, our serving was strong. Lily Grossman served a total of 5 points with one of them being an ace. Nafisah Muhtar served two aces with a total of 4 points. Jotrina Vamboi served an ace out of her two points and Princess Uzoma also added 2 points. We had a total of 13 serving points which is a wonderful testament to the hard work the girls have put in. It was a close score all the way through the game but our girls stayed calm, communicated with one another and persevered. Final score for set one was 25-21.
Set 2 was another great set. We maintained the lead the entire game thanks to our serving power. Nafisah Muhtar served 6 points with one ace, Olachi Agba served 5 points with 2 aces, Lily Grossman had one ace out of her two points and Haley Clingerman served an ace for her one point. The teamwork in this set was amazing, with a lot of volleying back and forth with the other team to earn the points. We won the set 25-16.
In our third set we fell 25-12 however our girls were working so well together. As coaches we are very proud of these girls on how far they have come. Our overall record is now 4 and 2. We have games next week on Monday and Wednesday, both at home, to round out our regular season play. Keep up the good work Ladies!
