MS volleyball team keeps diggin

The Lady Yellow Yackets went on the road Friday evening for a match against St. Josephs Crusaders.  In the first match R-MA was led by Angel Njuko '18 who had 9 service points.  Kate Ponn '18 and Bailey Sims '18 also added 5 points apiece.  The score was (25-15) in match one.  In match two it came down to the wire as both teams traded points back and forth.  But in the end it was R-MA winning (26-24) to win the match (2-0).  All of the girls in this match played hard and never gave up.  Way to go girls!

On Monday, the girls traveled to Shenandoah Valley Christian Academy for a non-conference match.  Despite winning the first game, the girls hit a speed bump and lost the seond match.  The score was tied 1-1 which forced a game 3.  Unfortunatley, R-MA never regained their momentum and was defeated 2 games to 1.

The girls will return back to the court next week, Thursday October 17,  in the Valley Middle School Conference semifinals.  The game will begin at 430, at R-MA and the opponent has not been determined.
