Wednesday night the Lady Jackets traveled across town for a match against Front Royal Christian Academy. In the first set we had an amazing show from Lily Grossman ‘21 as she served 12 points with one of them being an ace. Jessalyn Brooks ’21 also added two points for the Jackets with one of them being an ace. With the tremendous serving we still fell short and lost the first set 25-21.
In the second set the ladies really showed teamwork and great defense. Haley Clingerman ’21 came out strong serving 10 points in a row with four aces. Grossman had another great run earning 7 points with four aces. The Lady Jackets won the second set 25-8.
R-MA was forced into the third set with the pressure to win the match and the ladies did an amazing job of coming together. Grossman again led the team with nine points with four more aces. Clingerman and Brooks both added one point to end the game with a win and a score of 15-10. The Lady Jackets came away with victory and showed wonderful sportsmanship the entire game.
