Middle School Soccer: Hat Trick Leads to Win

The R-MA Middle School Soccer team traveled to Fresta Valley Christian School on Thursday, September 19 for its first conference game in the Valley Middle School Conference. The Yellow Jackets got off to a great start with a new player (name withheld by parent request) scoring two goals. The Pioneers pulled close with a goal right before halftime.

The Yellow Jackets regrouped and came out strong with three straight goals in the second half. The first goal was a long chip shot by the same young man, after a long punt by goalkeeper Gabe V., to give him a hat trick for the game. The next two goals were put in the net by Jonathan D. One goal was assisted by Nnamdi E.

Fresta scored again late, but the defense stayed strong to close out the game 5-2. The team made their coaches and fans proud, but especially Coach Orndorff as he is a graduate of Fresta Valley. The Yellow Jackets are 1-1 on the season.
