At Randolph-Macon Academy, students are able to participate in a broad range of activities and programs designed to promote their personal growth and academic development. In our nurturing school environment, students are encouraged to challenge themselves and strive towards achieving their individual goals and aspirations.
Committed to helping students throughout this process, R-MA works tirelessly to instill key values and a strong sense of character – prioritizing responsibility and personal integrity. Through community-building initiatives and leadership opportunities, our cadets participate in memorable experiences that directly impact their growth.
Nurturing Responsibility and Personal Integrity through the Power of Rise
The Power of Rise is a mindset at R-MA which spurs our students on towards greater achievements. This begins with access to a supportive community, one that helps each cadet explore their full potential. Here, they challenge themselves by taking on new responsibilities and serving others – upholding their personal integrity as they accomplish new feats that foster confidence and self-growth.
By fostering a deeper sense of responsibility, our cadets learn the true value of serving a community and supporting one another. They also learn to exercise self-discipline and willpower as they strive for academic excellence and pursue personal goals. In this way, responsibility and integrity play key roles in their student experience, setting them on a path towards becoming impactful leaders and accomplished young adults. As you support R-MA, you’ll be able to help us continue our efforts in nurturing these qualities within our growing cadet corps.
Promoting Our Honor Code and Encouraging Personal Growth
R-MA cadets apply the school’s Honor Code in their day-to-day life. Doing so enables students to promote mutual trust, integrity, and respect for others. Upholding these values is a key responsibility of every student, giving each and every one the opportunity to grow in an environment that encourages mutual respect, structure, and personal growth.
Here, students are held accountable for their actions and learn to take responsibility at a young age. Through well-structured Student Life programs and guidance from our caring faculty and staff, our cadets can develop important values that help them prepare for a more meaningful and successful future.
Instilling Responsibility and Community Service through the Air Force Junior ROTC
R-MA offers its students valuable military leadership training through the Air Force Junior ROTC program, which promotes community service and instills a strong sense of responsibility, character, and self-discipline. Cadets in the program learn to embody the Air Force core values of Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence In All We Do. These values are essential in fostering character and responsibility.
Through Cadre Leadership Training, cadets have the opportunity to explore demanding leadership positions that push them towards their full potential. This allows them to embrace new responsibilities—exercising selflessness, service, and integrity as they accomplish tasks that impact the Corps and their community.
