Challenging Students to Succeed When You Donate to R-MA

Our unwavering commitment to the student body makes R-MA a leading university prep school. With college guidance counselors, small class sizes, 50+ college credit options, and a structured environment, no detail has been spared in the optimization of our curriculum to help students excel.

One component we add for every student is a challenging academic and professional experience as they prepare for the next chapter of their academic life. Every step of the way, students are perfecting their college resumes and learning valuable life skills. For example, students complete 8,000 hours of community service each year and create healthy habits of creativity, collaboration, and discipline through the extensive curriculum and extracurriculars. Read on to discover the other ways we challenge our students to succeed.

January Term Courses Offer Experiential Learning Opportunities For R-MA Students

A unique offering at Randolph-Macon Academy is our 3-week January term. Students have the opportunity to develop essential career and life skills through an integrated and practical approach, outside of the standard curriculum. Some program offerings that will benefit their academic and professional skills include dedicated time for internship experiences, capstone research projects, or study abroad opportunities for upperclassmen. These additional specialized program offerings allow students to pursue lives of meaning and purpose while focusing on success.

R-MA is dedicated to enriching the lives of the students. Giving back to R-MA provides the ongoing support needed for our students to be able to complete a meaningful and impactful education at our institution. Many exciting topics are offered for the January Term, including drone and robotics technology, food cultivation and preparation, healthy habits of mind and body, engineering basics, DIY and tools, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy. As our graduates will understand, the student life provided at R-MA allows students to thrive while instilling values of accountability, teamwork, character, structure, and grit.

Pre-Professional Pathways Challenge Students to Dive Deeper into a Possible Career Interest

R-MA likes to provide a little bit of an extra challenge to students, encouraging them to dive deeper into their passions and explore possible career options. When you donate to R-MA, you can help our school sustain important resources that continue to enhance our students’ education and opportunities.

Focusing on the improvement of these components of our school is imperative as we continue to grow and serve our student body. Students enrolled in our Pre-Professional Pathways gain a competitive edge over their peers in the college admissions process with the extensive experience they receive as a foundation in their field.

Students are Challenged Through Our Unique Air Force JROTC Program

Our Air Force Junior ROTC program provides unmatched courses, with successive, multilevel aerospace classes that continuously build off of the previous level for continued advancement.

Every lesson learned in Air Force Junior ROTC provides a rewarding sense of accomplishment that helps pave a path of success for each student. Our graduates go on to thrive in both their careers and personal lives due to the individualized experiences and immense level of student support they find at R-MA.

Donations from alumni, parents, and friends around the world are the driving force for our ability to continue offering these types of life-changing opportunities to current and future students, the same opportunities that former students experienced themselves at R-MA.
