World Languages

R-MA middle school students have the opportunity to take German, French or Spanish as a world language. They may start at the beginning level, or, if they are entering with language experience in one of these classes, they may continue at the appropriate level. All world language courses are taught in Fulton Hall at the Upper School, just a short walk from the Middle School campus, so all courses are worth one high school credit, regardless of the grade the student is in when taking the class.

For more information on the language program, visit the Upper School world language page.

As a private school, Randolph-Macon Academy offers flexibility. Students normally begin a foreign language in the eighth grade year, but students who have started a foreign language before enrolling are usually able to continue with it, regardless of grade level.
